Skates!

The girls have been asking us for roller skates pretty consistently for a couple of weeks now.  So we went on a hunt Thursday and Friday night to find them some skates.  Initially, Brooke wanted roller blades but after some trying on and keen salesmanship skills on Daddy's part agreed that skates were much better - at least until she gets this skating thing down.

Here's Briana trying her skates out (she's not too brave yet, so it's hit or miss on getting her out on them).

Here's Brooke giving her skates a try - she's doing really pretty good on getting the balancing thing down on them.

Those elbow, knee and wrist pads are true lifesavers.  Brooke totally wiped out on the drive way and the guards totally saved her - she got up without a scratch.
