I thought you'd like to see some pictures of the girls, in action, at their gymnastics classes. They both really enjoy going and count down until it's time to go again. Brooke just recently moved up a level in her class, so she's with older girls now. She loves Ms Katie and has even masted the cart wheel. Just this past week she was able to do one, with her legs in the air, all by herself. Her old teacher, Ms. Courtney, had mentioned to me that she thought Brooke was bored in her current class so we made the decision to move her up about 6 months early. The first night she attended her new class (with much trepidation because she was leaving one of her best buddies behind), as soon as it was over she came running up to me and was so excited and asked if she could stay in that class - I had no idea how bored she was until I saw the excitement with them challenging her. She's doing balance beam work and all sorts of fun stuff. In a fun twist of fate, one of her classmates is a little girl that was in the in-home daycare she attended when she was a baby. We had lost touch with them and now Brooke & Kristen are in the same gymnastics class. They seem to stick together too, even though neither of them remember being best buddies for the first 9 months of their lives. I love seeing the spark in Brooke's eyes when she's accomplishing something new, so this is fun. It's hard to get great pictures because they make us sit in the stands during the class. I may try to sneak closer in a couple of weeks.

For Briana's class, I get to assist with it (all the parents stick with their kiddos). She LOVES, LOVES, LOVES 'nastics. The other mom's in her class are amazed because she's so much younger than her classmates but is doing so well. Of course, she does have a big sister and we all know that makes a world of difference.

The baby version of the balance beam (she's got her feet and hands on the bars and walks across it that way):
Hanging on the bar (they do pull ups to, to get them used to pulling their feet up so they can then flip over).
In a funny twist, Ms Katie (Brooke's teacher) is Ms Megan's (Briana's teacher) younger sister. We all get a chuckle out of that. Anyway, those are my little gymnasts. We're counting down to the next class. As you could tell in some of the pictures, Brooke sits with us during Briana's class but during Brooke's class, Briana and I sit in the stands and watch Brookie. Well, Briana eats a snack and then plays.
