Here's the song I sing with the girls when we are driving. Always makes all of us laugh. It's from the movie "Mary Poppins" - I know you've heard it, we just change up the words a little. The boy in the song is sometimes Daddy, sometimes Jake, or Roman. Those are the main three characters, but last night it was Uncle Craig and we sang one verse with Gracie. We usually sing one verse with Brooke and one with Briana (but Brooke sings Briana's name both times).
Jolly Holiday
Ain't it a glorious day?
Right as a mornin' in May
I feel like I could fly
Have you ever seen the grass so green?
Or a bluer sky?
{you guys have GOT to hear Brooke sing bluer - it's hysterical}
Oh, it's a jolly holiday with Briana
Briana makes your heart so light!
When the day is gray and ordinary
Briana makes the sun shine bright!
Oh happiness is bloomin' all around her
The daffodils are smiling at the dove
When Brookie holds your hand, you feel so grand
Your heart starts beating like a big brass band
It's a jolly holiday with Brookie
No wonder that it's Brookie that we love!
We'll start with raspberry ice
And then some cakes and tea
Order what you will, there'll be no bill
It's complimentary
Oh, it's a jolly holiday with, Daddy
Gentlemen like you are few
Though your just a diamond in the rough, Daddy
Underneath your blood is blue!
You'd never think of pressing your advantage
Forebearance is the hallmark of your creed
A lady needn't fear when you are near
Your sweet gentility is crystal clear!
Oh, it's a jolly holiday with Daddy
A jolly, jolly holiday with you!
